COSMETIC ENHANCING
Restylane |
The revolutionary cosmetic treatment from Sweden …
Forget collagen. Restylane is made in Sweden, and is the market leader for dermal fillers. This is a biodegradable (non-animal) gel based on a material naturally made by the body, hyaloronic acid. This is injected into the skin in tiny amounts with a very fine needle, producing an instant result to smooth wrinkles, make lips fuller or more defined, and produces a natural beauty lift. Treatment is carried out by a qualified specialist and lasts up to 4 months.
Restylane has a proven safety record with over a million treatments in 70 countries in the past 6 years.
Prices are based on amount of gel used.

CHOOSING THE RIGHT RESTYLANE PRACTITIONER
Some advice on choosing a professional ...
The practitioners performing Restylane should have completed an approved Q-Med course and be suitably trained. They should be medically qualified and registered, i.e. a doctor, dentist or registered nurse. Reputable practitioners will offer you a consultation prior to treatment if necessary to explain various procedures etc.
At Beauty and the Beach, our resident practitioner is Dental Surgeon Dr S. Eddin (BDS), and all consultations are free.

ABOUT PERMANENT MAKEUP
Permanent makeup (also called semi-permanent makeup) can enhance your features as much as a facelift and the effects can last for many months or even two to three years. The colour consists of pure inorganic minerals in a glycerine base, and is gently added using EC safety regulated cartridges. It can be used to enhance your eyebrows, eyes and lips with a fabulous selection of flattering effects ... all tearproof, waterproof and lifeproof!
Clients are offered a patch test prior to the first procedure and topical anaesthetics are used to minimise any minor discomfort.
Effects can vary from subtle and barely-there to intense. After one month you are invited back (at no charge) to have a top-up treatment if you would like a more dramatic result. You are also given comprehensive after care, including verbal instructions and after-care products.

Eyebrow Threading |
Treatment Price £12 |
The main benefit of threading is the way it shapes the eyebrow, not just underneath but also the top. One of the major drawbacks of tweezing, especially when done at home, is that it’s easy to remove the wrong hairs which then alter the shape of the eyebrow. For example, you may remove thick hairs from underneath the brow which act as a form of “scaffolding” for the entire brow. By removing those hairs the shapes collapse, and there is no option but to wait for them to grow back in! Threading avoids this as it only removes hairs from around the eyebrows. It’s fine to go over the same area several times as only the hair is being targeted. It’s also very good for removing facial hair, especially when waxing or sugaring has proved too irritating. (Let’s not get into whether plucking facial hair is good or bad. Millions of women do it every day, and it obviously works for some but doesn't for others). Advantages: inexpensive, fast, neat, considered less painful than plucking, good for eyebrows. Gives a perfect shape that can last up to two weeks.
